My name is….. and I work as teacher-librarian at…… Primary School. I received a fax from ….. regarding the election campaign. I have a few examples to give you but I don't wish to cause problems for myself in doing so.

I have worked in this position as temporary teacher for the last 4 years and this is my fifth year. During this time my clerical time has gone from very little (1 day a fortnight ) to nothing. I have approached the principal about this but no solutions have come about to rectify this. I only just manage to keep my head above water by going in on days off to catch up and I also have a very reliable volunteer come 1 day a week to help me (I am sure the system is using her if you understand my meaning.) I do release from face to face and only get my allocated 1/3 administration time in bits and pieces. We used to have a government grant every year of around $1000.00 (depends on school numbers) to buy “good” Australian literature but this ceased a couple of years ago and has now placed an extra burden on our funds to buy books/resources with less money.
